SECRET OF SUCCESS

If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

(job 36:11)

Everyone on the surface of the earth wants to succeed in his endeavors. Today many students want to succeed at all cost even if it means accessing live questions paper from unscrupulous money mongers before the exam date, workers want to get to the top of their organization ladder without meeting the requirements for promotion, church founders want one million congregation but only a few are willing to obey the injunction of Jesus Christ as given in matt 28:19

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost,

a typical business man wants to sit on top of a business octopus grossing income that is well over 100 billion naira annually though this might involve engaging in unethical practices put differently, many millions of people are concerned about success but only few are willing to go through the pains that proceed it.

God promise to everyone in Deut 28:11-13

And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.  The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.  And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

is that of complete success that is anchored in biblical principles. He want us to be plenteous in material possession but he demands absolute obedience  and faithfulness in him.prov 28:20. A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.  Joseph was faithful to his master and God. He would have enjoyed as other youths will call it but he knew where he is going and the dignity he is carrying Gen37:7-9

For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.  And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.  And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.  Daniel got his promotion because he remained faithful to God in face of adversity or threat to life. When the king made a decree that no one should pray in the name of God but he defied the order  and choose to remain faithful to God. God saved him from humiliation

To achieve enduring success you need to continually exercise your peculiar gifts proverbs 18:16

A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.

You must live a holy life to achieve success, Daniel did not defile himself with the delicacy of the king but he choose to eat vegetables to live a life of consecration. You must stay clear of everything that defiles the body and spirit. you must flee from every appearance of sin and focus on Jesus Christ. You must be a man of prayer but to fast track the answer to your prayers. a correct fast is like a lubricant that is required to propel a heavy duty engine to action. Obedience leads to success Isaiah  1:19

If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land ,Luke 5:6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

Perhaps reasons why millions of people especially those that are Christians go through life frustrated could be that they fail to hear or to obey the voice of God.I plea that whenever you have tried what is humanly possible and it didn’t work relax and handover to God he wouldn’t let you down if you love him. Those who the bible recorded to have succeeded in God-given national assignment like Moses, Joshua, Elijah, Elisha, Joseph, Daniel, Esther, Mordecai and Paul have something in common the fear of God. If you fear God he will give you divine secret that can bring solutions to human problems for which you will be handsomely rewarded psalm 25:14

The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

In conclusion success should be seen in its totality and not from only material possession our primary goal is to succeed in the divine mandate of drawing more and more people into Gods kingdom. Measure your success through your commandment to the cause of the gospel of Jesus Christ and by the level of obedience to God.
